My three year old loves this set. She can actually see herself in the mirror unlike her old one. She loves to sit and put
make up on herself and her dolls. The top of the stool comes off and can be used for storage. It is a much sturdier table than I thought as her old one wobbled. And this is the best thing of all....I put it together myself!! Did not have to wait for daddy to come home from work!! This set is perfect for a three year old that likes to play make-up!

Last week I bought the Barbie Vanity by Step 2 from TRU(made exactly the same except for the Barbie logo and a sticker or two; everything else is the same.) and my husband and I put it together last night. It took about 20 minutes and wasn't hard at all. You do need to use an electric drill where the instructions suggest. My granddaughter is in the 95th percentile for height and it is perfect for her with plenty of growing room. It's built very sturdy and stable as most Step 2 products are. There are no annoying voices, just a little light above the mirror which shuts off after 5 minutes. Also, there aren't many accessories that come with it, just a comb, brush, and small mirror. I don't mind though because of the higher quality of this vanity. This is a very pretty toy. My granddaughter really liked the Cinderella talking vanity, but after looking at it I thought it was way too small and not built very well. I also liked the fact that this one didn't talk. I did buy some pretend make-up and a little hair dryer that really works(no heat!)to go along with this set. You really can't go wrong with this one.

My daughter received this for Christmas and it is the best thing ever. She is going to be 4 soon and loves to do hair and makeup. This vanity is just the perfect size for her and is very, very sturdy. I looked at the Disney Princess vanity but it seemed so small and her legs would never fit underneath it. I would recommend this vanity over any other for your little girl.

Bought this for my daughters, 5 and 3. They love it. It's very durable and the mirror is great. It's also nice having the storage bench!

THIS WAS A GIFT FOR MY LITTLE GIRL (JUST TURNED 4). SHE WANTED A VANITY AND AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH AND FOR THE PRICE I FOUND THIS WAS THE BEST VALUE (ORDERED FROM WALMART). THE BENCH DOUBLES AS STORAGE SPACE WHICH MY DAUGHTER USES TO KEEP SOME OF HER DRESS-UP STUFF AND IT HAS A LITTLE DRAWER. IT LIGHTS UP TO AND HAS LITTLE COMPARTMENTS FOR THE LITTLE LIPGLOSS'S, ETC. IT IS STRONG AND STURDY AND I CAN TELL IT WILL OUTLAST HER USE OF IT. WE HAVE OTHER STEP 2 TOYS, INCLUDING RIDEONS, TEETER TOTTER, AND THE PUSHAROUND BUGGY WHICH SHE HAS OUTGROWN ETC. AND I HAVE TO SAY WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SATISFIED WITH THEIR PRODUCTS AND THEIR FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN NEEDED.

my daughter got this for christmas 06' and she loves it i have looked at walmart and toys r us..and this was cheaper on amazon so i got it.. i am so glad i did ,it is made very strudy and the best part is it has storage in the chair the pink lid comes off and you can put alot of stuff in there also the draw pulls out for storage..the light above mirror comes on and it even came with the comb , brush and hand held mirror.this has got to be the most best made vanity and the best priced ...it will last for ever..

My five year old wanted this for Christmas and was ecstatic with it. I had considered buying a wooden vanity that would grow with her, however this is scrubbable and she is not the neatest with the fake makeup. Great product and it is very sturdy.

We gave this to our daughter for her 5th birthday. It was easy to assemble and she loves it. It seemed small when I first set it up but when she sat down on the bench I realized it was the perfect size. The drawer is kind of small, but I bought a plastic box for under $1 for her to set on top of the vanity so she could store more stuff. Also, we choose this particular item because it's not quite as "flashy" as some of the other Barbie and Disney models. It has a more mature look we thought would be appealing as she gets a little older. We've had several other Step2 products and been happy with both appearance and quality.

I did the research last year, and this is a sturdy tough vanity. It will last a long time and is safe. It isn't the fanciest out there, but I think it is the best product. We didn't put all the stickers on it and it looks better in my opinion. Our daughter loves it, and still enjoys it a year later. It seems to be the best plastic "grow with your child" option. The other vanities are very short and small. My child is small, and this should last at least until she is 7 or 8 size wise. If they had more than five stars I would give it the highest.

My 3-year-old grand-daughter absolutely adores this vanity. She calls it her "make-up kitchen". Very sturdy and easy to clean. The storage bench is great for her play make-up. Definitely worth the money.

My five year old is tall for her age and I was afraid this would be way too small. But it is perfect for her. She loves the sections for her lipsticks, and the storage area under the seat, where she keeps her dress up wigs. I am very satisfied with the quality and value of this product.

This vanity was easy to put together, is very sturdy, and has lots of room to store things in the drawer and seat. The mirror is clear, and my daughter, who is three, can easily turn the light on and off. It's also just the right size for her.

We got this vanity for our daughter's 3rd birthday. She loves princesses and dress up so this is right up her alley. She loves storing all her dress up shoes in the bench and bracelets in the drawer. It is indestructible and she'll be able to play with it for years. She likes to "get ready" there in the mornings now instead of making a mess in the bathroom. We don't have a problem with the seat cover slipping off, she just makes sure it's on before sitting - I never had to tell her to worry about it.

The only things I don't like are the molded spots in the top (which are small shapes and don't really hold up any of her play makeup) and all the stickers. We did put the flowers on the front edge, and the light stickers, but threw the rest out.

Got this for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She is learning how to sit in front of the mirror and comb her hair. It was easy to put together and looks very sturdy. Change the picture of the enclosed chair. It is not what comes inside the box.

Christmas gift for our four year old daughter. She LOVES it. She can spend hours at the vanity, and when friends come over and they dress up, they all like to sit at the vanity and play. Amazing how much they enjoy it really - almost scary!

As much as I don't need one more gigantic piece of plastic junk in my house, this was well worth the investment, and we'll be sure to pass it on to a friend when we're done, so it's doesn't end up in a land fill!

It's a little tall for my 21 month old daughter, but she can still see herself in the mirror while sitting so it's ok AND she has room to grow. Comes with a brush, comb, and hand mirror that are cute. We're happy with it! Also it was relatively easy to put together... but be careful if using a screw gun... my husband accidentally screwed too much and poked a hole through the other side!

Don't waste your time on cheap dollar store knock offs or the expensive, over-done Disney versions...this is your best bet. Well made, sturdy and very cute, this vanity does the job. Very affordable and large. My daughter is 3 1/2 - this fit her perfectly. The chair is great and sturdy. She will be able to use this for a long time. It was easy to put together, too. We put it against a wall to give it more stablility, but it works free-standing. She loves sitting at it and putting on make up and playing with her doll's hair. It also has a working light that automatically shuts off after a time so that's a great feature, too. Would definitely purchase again or for a gift.

We bought this vanity for our 5 year old for Christmas. It is a pretty good vanity for the money. There are not very many places to store things and the places that are there are oddly shaped or two small for most of her play makeup and jewlery. Be careful for the lid that is on top of the seat. It does not stay on well and she has ended up on the floor quite a few times. Although there are some flaws it is very durable and cleans easily.

My 3yr old loves the vanity. It's a good size to grow with. I read on the other reviews about the sticker on the mirror before I purchased it. I chanced it and you can tell it says Barbie behind the sticker. It's not a problem for us right now since she's only 3. It is strange that the photo on website and the box it comes in does not advertise the sticker being on it. No other Barbie markings anywhere else. I also did not apply all of the stickers it came with. Just a few.

Bought this vanity for our 3 yr old daughter for her birthday and she loves it! Easy to put together and so far very sturdy. Didn't put all the stickers on it, but you can do what you want. The stool is not wobbly like our older daughters' vanity.

The picture shows a little bench with a removable top for storage. It does NOT come with the bench, but the standard step2 stool in pink to match. I bought this for my daughter who turns three in three weeks. It just came today, so I can't say how much she will play with it yet because she is enjoying the box it came in right now. My thoughts on this first day of play are this: 1) The drawer needs to be anchored. If you pull it out to get something, it immediately falls to the ground. 2) It seems like the vanity is top heavy and easy to topple. We have thick, plush carpet and it doesn't sit flat, and I think if she was shorter, it would easily fall over on her if she pulled on it. 3) It should come with more accessories, as shown on the box. While we put it together she was going thru all the bags trying to find those things, and when she realized they were stickers, she said, I cannot use those. Overall, it is cute, and will work for a while. A good price with quick shipping.

This is a awesome vanity for the price! I bought a cheap one put it together only to find out my 3 year old was already to big for it. This vanity is built great and made in the U.S which is a plus. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because it was sent with the wrong chair. Instead of the bench with storage it came with just a stool. This is ok with me though after reading some reviews saying the top would slide off the bench when the kids where playing. I think its great for the price.

This is a pretty sturdy vanity set. I got it for my 4 year old for her birthday, she loves it. It wasn't too difficult to put together.
The only issue I have is that I didn't get the same stool as was in the picture. I got a plan stool, which works fine, but I would've liked the one with the extra storage...

I bought this for my (then) 3 year old daughter last Christmas. The light is still working! (surprise) and she has really enjoyed it. The seat actually holds quite a bit of her "beauty items". Big enough to hold things like the hair dryer, etc. The drawer also hides quite a bit of small items like hair bows, makeup, etc.

It is cute, even though it is plain white and pink, but I like it better than the others with specific characters....and it was a decent price. I am happy with my purchase.

I purchased the vanity for my Granddaughter. It was sturdy and durable. There were only a few pieces to put together. The hair accessories were cute and perfect size. She loved it. This is a good one to pick if you need it to last awhile. Thicker and heavier plastic. I would recommend it.

I bought this for my daughter's second birthday. She is a little young for it yet. She doesn't have the attention span to sit for a long time. But we knew we were buying it a little early. It is cute and she loves it. It is super durable. Her three year old twin brothers constantly knock it over and walk on it. Which drives me nuts! But the vanity is not even showing wear. It is super easy to tip over which I don't like but that can be solved by not putting it on carpet or just tipping it back over. It's not a safety hazard to most kids because when used properly it won't tip, but when two three year olds pull it over it will fall. I don't really fault the product, but it's a good thing to know. The side of the vanity has little designs in it that make it even cuter in person. The stickers are really cute too. The mirror is not the best, but it is a mirror. The paper over it was really hard to see, but there is a cover so make sure you remove it. It took me about half an hour to set up by myself and I am not the most handy. Would definately buy again!

I have a 5 yr. old who's tall for her age. She had her heart set on a vanity. Most of these plastic ones are too small for her. I found a good-sized wooden one (VERY STURDY) for even less than this one cost.(...) Don't know if they'll post this in the reviews, but I just had to share, in case there's someone with the same situation...

My 4 yr old daughter got this for Christmas this year and she loved it. It was very easy to assemble. The lid on the seat does not stay on very well, but she adjusted. The only bad thing I have to say about this vanity is that the light bulb did not work. She doesnt seem to mind. However it bothers me since I bought it and expected it to work.

I got this vanity for my daughter's 2nd birthday. My husband put it together; there was more assembly required than I would have thought. The light bulb in the light was loose and had to be adjusted. Overall, the assembly took about 15-20 minutes. My complaints about this product are that the mirror scratches very easily and that the lid on the stool does not stay on very well when my daughter tries to sit on it. Also, it only comes with a brush, comb, and hand mirror, so you'll probably want to buy a separate accessory set for your child. My daughter likes playing with this vanity, and her enjoyment is more important than my annoyances with it. This is a decent simple vanity for a young child.

So me being the frugal person I am I immediatly searched for the best prices on the net. Amazon of course was the cheapest and I got free shipping.
